FAQ
Where do you work out with your clients?
We go wherever it is most convenient for our clients. We do back yards and parks and I’ve even done a lounge room. Everyone has a different need and we try to cater for that.
What is the age range of your clients?
Most clients are over 40, which is when most people start putting on the extra weight as they start families. We also cater to older adults and those who are advised by their doctor to get exercising because of a range of health related conditions. It’s a cliché, but it is never too late and always a good time to start.
What services do you provide?
We offer a diverse range of low to high intensity exercise and include:
Medium to high intensity
- Boxing
- Circuit training
- Resistance training
- Interval training
- One on one Personal training or small groups
Low to medium intensity
As a “Heartmoves” Leader we are able to deliver low-moderate intensity exercise programs suitable and safe for people with risk factors for chronic disease or who are managing an existing stable chronic condition such as heart problems and diabetes. It is also safe for people with risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and being overweight.
Why are personal trainers more effective than a gym?
Personal training is a time efficient exercise activity. You will get a lot more done and expend a lot more energy if someone is pushing you at the right level of intensity and prescribing the most effective exercise. We mix it up and make it fun and that way people get a lot more out in a shorter period of time.
Why are Australians becoming fatter and fatter?
It’s not so surprising. Our bodies are made to move but with all today’s mod cons we are moving less and less, whilst our diet is becoming more geared towards fast rather than good. It frustrates me the most to see so many overweight children. Adults need to set a good example and move more.
